Legendary Classics by Legendary Hong Kong
Handmade dim sum and charcoal-grilled meats in a black-and-white heritage bungalow

Located in the leafy Rochester Commons enclave, this Chinese restaurant by homegrown brand Legendary Hong Kong is a 112-seater built for communal dining. The menu, by long-serving Group Executive Chef Loke, boasts nearly 200 items including the signature Silver Hill Irish roast duck and new dishes like the blue pea mushroom dumplings. For a leisurely dim sum lunch, try the pork dumplings topped with abalone – a crowd favourite – and sautéed turnip cake with XO sauce. Where it really shines is in its traditional roasts. Highlights include the crispy pork belly, marinated overnight with five spice and sea salt, then charcoal-roasted for an hour and a half for perfect crackling skin, and the aromatic roasted chicken with spicy fried garlic. To balance the richness, order the light, nourishing Golden Pumpkin Congee. There’s also a wide array of desserts on offer, including the tortoise-shaped guilinggao (herbal jelly) and osmanthus longan jelly.
