Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum

Ba Dinh Square, where Vietnam’s independence was declared in 1945, has become a popular place for night strolls among couples, families and visiting veterans. It’s also still worth joining the long queue that snakes slowly into the mausoleum and around the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh that remains on display. Dress modestly for the visit and also check that the mausoleum will be open – it closes for a few months in the later half of the year when the body is sent to Russia for maintenance.
