Nearly 50 years old, Indonesian restaurant Sama Sebo is a veritable Amsterdam institution. This is the place to visit for a rijsttafel, an elaborate meal comprising numerous small dishes (the menu currently has 17) like chicken satay, beef rendang and spicy tiger prawns. The friendly atmosphere and homely décor – unchanged since 1969 – make this the perfect spot for a laidback dinner.
