The Majestic
Old world charm in a luxurious heritage hotel
Live in luxury at a national heritage site. The Majestic’s original hotel was built in 1932 during the British colonial period and is still striking today for its grand Roman columns. During the ebullient post-war years, it became a lively social venue for dignitaries and the rich and famous, before shutting down in the mid-1980s and being put to other uses. A few years ago, it was converted back into a hotel, and a 15-storey wing designed in complementary Art Deco style was added to the original structure.
As one of just two hotels in Malaysia that are part of the Marriott’s premium Autograph Collection, The Majestic is a throwback to Old World glamour. Here, you can light up in a dedicated cigar room and have afternoon tea on the lawn, or in the delightful orchid conservatory.
