Vietnamese Women’s Museum

Vietnam’s matriarchal beliefs and traditions are carefully preserved and documented at this museum, founded in 1987. It aims to showcase the contributions of women and their historical roles across the country’s 54 ethnic groups; also included is the Unesco-recognised, indigenous culture of Mother Goddess Worship. Permanent exhibitions document women’s roles in the family, in history and in fashion, with ethnic jewellery and propaganda posters on display as well.
