MF Ghost
Street-racing roars into the spotlight in MF Ghost. Based on the hit manga and serving as the sequel to cult classic Initial D, this high-octane anime shifts gears into a near future where electric vehicles dominate the roads — and the thrill of petrol-powered engines is sorely missed.

Enter Kanata Rivington, a Japanese-British rookie with prodigious driving skills and a mysterious past. As he begins outpacing elite European supercars, Kanata’s quest for speed becomes deeply personal. His search for answers about his long-lost father leads him to Japan, where he enters the underground street-racing league known as MFG (Mount Fuji Ghost), founded and organised by Ryosuke Takahashi from the Initial D series.

Battling a fiercely competitive field of racers, Kanata pushes his limits in pursuit of the MFG title, all while uncovering the truth behind his family history. Adrenaline-fuelled and steeped in racing nostalgia, MF Ghost is a must-watch for anime fans and motorsport lovers alike.

Kowloon Generic Romance
Kowloon Generic Romance is anything but generic. Its tale of past, present, and retro-futuristic relationships makes it one of the most intriguing love stories to come along in ages.

In a reimagined, neon-grimy version of Hong Kong’s Kowloon Walled City, introverted real-estate agent Reiko Kujirai spends her days trading snark, sharing lunches, and quietly catching feelings for her loud, charming ‘work spouse’, Hajime Kudou. Her life here may be mundane, but for Reiko, this chaotic maze of a city is equal parts heaven, hell, and something dreamlike in between.

But dreams have cracks. Reiko begins experiencing strange flashes of another life, and everything tilts when she finds a photo of Hajime with a woman who looks unsettlingly like her. As she tries to grasp memories she’s sure she once had, she edges closer to a truth that was never meant to resurface.

Based on Jun Mayuzuki’s manga, this cyberpunk noir is a must-watch for fans of ’80s–’90s sci-fi classics like Ghost in the Shell, Akira, and Cowboy Bebop — nostalgic, stylish, and just the right amount of weird.

dandadan

Dandadan
Momo Ayase is a gyaru (the Japanese equivalent of a valley girl) who believes in ghosts but not aliens, while the nerdy Ken Takakura (whom Momo later nicknames ‘Okarun’) believes in aliens but not ghosts. The two high-schoolers challenge each other to a dare — Momo will visit an abandoned hospital rumoured to be an alien-abduction site, while Okarun will visit a tunnel reportedly haunted by a spirit known as Turbo Granny.

No prizes for guessing both are proven right — Momo is kidnapped by extraterrestrials intent on extracting her reproductive organs, while Okarun is possessed by a sadistic and foul-mouthed spirit. Cue a wild, hilarious ride of supernatural chaos, flying punches, and missing body parts.

Directed by Fûga Yamashiro and based on Yukinobu Tatsu’s Shonen Jump manga, Dandadan is a uniquely bizarre blend of horror, sci-fi, and rom-com energy — imagine The X-Files meets Danny Phantom with anime-style absurdity.
